Austin Texas Private Investigation Services

We use databases that require a Private Investigator License

What should I check for when hiring a Texas private investigator?

Be sure the company you are using has a Texas-issued license and private investigator insurance. Licensed investigators must meet state requirements and pass a state licensing exam. Private investigators in Texas are required to be licensed by the Private Security Bureau. You can contact the state licensing agency to confirm the investigator’s license is in good standing.

What should I tell the private investigator?

It is important the private investigator have all the facts pertaining to your case, even if some of the information is embarrassing. By providing the investigator all the information enables a more accurate search and quicker turnaround.

What expectations should I have hiring a private investigator?

We recommend asking the private investigator what they think will be accomplished with your investigation to be sure it will provide the results you want.

Does the public have access to the same databases you use?

As licensed private investigators, we have access to public and private databases that may not be accessed by the general public.. Online search databases the public can access generally pulls their information from public records, and could contain inaccurate, outdated and/or missing information.

How much do you charge?

Our fees vary by case, based on time, database access and other factors involved in gathering the necessary information. Please see our Fees page for more information.

Do we need to meet in person?

Usually it is not necessary to meet with a private investigator in person. Most information and discussion can be conveyed over the phone or via email, as can legal forms and contracts.
